If you want to keep decorated eggs, you poke small holes in each end, and blow the insides out. this keeps them from rotting. I think they mean to blow the contents of her skull out her ear.
Some folks color boiled eggs, usually with the intent of eating them later..But another tradition is to puncture both ends of a raw egg and blow out the liquid inside so that it can be safely kept for years after it’s decorated.
