graves are for the living -
they’re no use to the dead…
my interpretation of ANANDY’s post was that he was comparing the care not taken at arlington cemetary
with the nation’s health care program for the living.
the country is in a terrible mess, 8 years of the Bush destruction plan and 30 years of Reagan deregulation have put the republic in a state of disrepair that is very discouraging. Republican and tea bagger puppets like Anandy are angry about much of the right stuff but are misled by Fox noise into attacking the doctor that is doing the triage. It’s a messy business and people like Anandy just make it that much harder.
The “problem” has been going on for decades at Arlington. Some of the stones in the creek were duplicates placed there to stop erosion. Losing track of bodies wouldn’t be such a problem if we weren’t losing so many live folks in stupid wars.
The part of my health care done through government planning and VA is MUCH BETTER than any received by the folks I talk to who have “private” or NO policies, plans, or health care. The failure to support ALL our citizens with health care IS a bigger disaster and shame than losing track of a few who died serving their nation to DEFEND the rights of those pushed aside by the “right”.
Andy and the one trick ponies should show real respect for those, including my friends who died for them. Headstones are NOT the important issue- the living are.

Just change the sign to “Cemetery of the Unknown Soldiers.” As bobwinners said, it makes no difference to the occupants.

You are right, myming, he was comparing the two. Now that shrub and his band of merry theives are out, both can get better.

That tombstone on the left side of the cemetary is shaped almost like a newspaper vending box.
Maybe the buried needed something to read.
(Or, the editor is just heavy handed.)
