Scalia would say, “The Constitution is clear: the sitting president makes the nomination, and the Senate advises and either consents or dissents. PERIOD.”

Mitch profited by selling American jobs to China and they rewarded him for it.

McConnell has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Chinese-Americans, many with ties to mainland China, and between $5 million and $25 million from the family linked to Beijing’s Red mandarins.

Get real, this is standard procedure both parties have done this with their opponents Presidents. Amazes me how each side will gnash and wail when it happens to them.

Until the left proves Obama didn’t suffocate Scalia with a pillow in his sleep – he should not be allowed to choose the next Supreme Court Justice. is it fair that a sitting president gets to appoint a Supreme Court justice for life if they are Democrat? How about if they are on their 3rd Justice? Surely a Democrat shouldn’t be allowed to nominate 3 judges in a row right?

Oregon and DC’s bunch are both equally ignorant of the actual Constitution. The document says by the way “SHALL APPOINT” after advice and consent, which, the 2/3 majority is to ratify treaties, before the semicolon separating that action for treaties from appointments.

It’s just extremely interesting that every time Cheney and Bush flagrantly defied, lied to, or ignored Congress and any opposition to their plans, the right ignored, or worse, praised, the offenses.
