You have a problem when your own party members disapprove:

“… But in the spring and early summer months, Republicans’ views began to sour, as the party made little progress in achieving its legislative goals. Those views got worse through the summer and early fall — by July, only 11% of Republicans approved of Congress, and their approval since then has slipped further to 8%. … " http://www.gallup.com/poll/186581/congress-job-approval-rating-slips.aspx

They showed their contempt for the Constitution, and the memory of Scalia, insulting all the American peoples’ rights, and their obligation under the Constitution.

The congress is playing politics again. They ate obstructing progress again.DDSS.They won’t like it any better if a Democrat wins the election. Right now, the Supreme court is evenly balanced. They are feeling very confident on winning the election. This has gotten old.

The Republicans are in denial that the Great Man who confirmed their most cherished beliefs is gone. The only way they will be comforted is to have him replaced with a man of “equal stature”. Constitutions and elections don’t matter. Control is what’s important.

Hey, Bush nominated his cleaning lady. Can’t blame anyone but W for that nomination falling flat.

And yet Bush got his nominations through, as did Eisenhower with his recess appointment of Potter Stewart, and Reagan, with his late term nomination of Justice Kennedy.A filibuster is generally now considered a show of non-support, and filibusters can be broken. If it comes to that, I hope the Dems insist the Repubs ACTUALLY filibuster, not one of those OK we’re filibustering but not really ones!

They aren’t; he won two elections, he’s the Unitary Executive now, and we’re paying him until 1/20/17. I want him to do his job. I know the republicans will refuse to do theirs until Bernie makes them.
