The Klingon should be on the extreme right, where it belongs.

It won’t be long before presidential campaigns last from presidential election to election. It will become the full time activity for politicians and news medial and of course getting anything done in government will completely grind to a halt. It will be the perfect media event. There might even be a presidential candidate reality show!

Cruz announced his candidacy 596 days before election day. Biden said it was too late to enter the race with 384 days to go before the election. Meanwhile our neighbors to the North sneaked in an entire campaign cycle with our ramping up – and elected new leaders in 11 weeks. (A long cycle for them)In Mexico election campaigns start 90 days before election day and have to stop 3 days prior (doesn’t that just sound divine?) with an additional 60-day “pre-campaign” season where the candidates vie for nomination. We run our elections like our health care – we all know its broken but we just keep getting more ridiculous instead of fixing it.

There will always be six more weeks of winter after Groundhog Day, and there have been over seven years of campaigning for this year’s election. Time to end the bull with election reform.

@Newenglandah….Mussolini, first a Socialist, later he founded Fascism.Fascism is a form of Dictatorship, a Totalitarian oppressive type of government. He was very anti-Christian.-Hardly a part of the American Right type of philosophy!-Abe Lincoln, the 1st Republican president, was nowhere near to Totalitarianism. Lincoln was pro-Christian, and applied Bible teachings to his personal life.-The GOP has faults, especially in its embedded Kingmaker elite who think they “own” the Party, but I doubt you could find a Totalitarian among them.-Compare the Platforms chosen by party members each presidential election……no Totalitarianism there, is there?(They do differ from each other….Dems pro-abortion, pro-Sodomite “marriage”, pro Big Government and the bigger the better to a Democrat). After the last 7 years we see and feel the harm done to all who have below the top 1% income, with government abusing its constitutional powers to dictate to the Healthcare industry and business in general with selected types pushed into bankruptcy=the coal industry and fossil fuel producers. Running roughshod over personal rights (making Christians “pay” for obeying God in refusing to violate God’s Law in approving legalized sins) and ending states’ rights forever!- In contrast, the GOP platforms have always been pro-Life, pro-traditional Biblical marriage of one man/one woman, ideally for a lifetime, and always seeking in principle to stop the growth of government interventions into citizens’ private lives and against government abusing constitutional powers. -No wonder citizens and even congressmen/women can’t tell a Democrat from a Socialist! The 21st Century Democrat IS A SOCIALIST.
