    It’s a complicated issue, Aedes aegypti, yellow fever mosquitos can carry the Zika virus and they have a range that includes the gulf states up to the Carolinas. So once the virus is here, the stage is set for its spread throughout the south.

    Already the Red Cross is denying blood from people who have visited areas where Zika is present.

    Brazil is looking at changing its strict abortion laws to allow women who have been exposed to Zika to have abortions.

    How is this going to effect travel to Carnival next week or the Rio Olympics in August?

    Aedes aegypti is also a vector for dengue which has been kept in check by mosquito abatement programs in the continental US but cases in Hawaii have increased to 240.

    One more time: If you want fewer illegals, prosecute those who hire them.

    And, if you want fewer immigrant workers, reduce the number of h1-b visas. (or whatever they’re called)

    O’ course, that might reduce the amount of cheap labor available andit might result in higher wages in general, especially at the bottom.
