Brady & Co. didn’t get a lot of votes for the simple reason that we all now know that it was a whole load of made-up B!S..Then you have people who follow other sports that have different ideas about what to do with equipment tampering. Get caught throwing a spitball in baseball? You’re thrown out of the game, and that’s the end of it. Get caught with an illegal stick in hockey? Two-minute penalty, and that’s the end of it. .Million dollar fines, multi-game suspensions, loss of draft picks and bans from the NFL for life? That should go in the dictionary as the definition of “OVERREACTION,” even if the Patriots WERE guilty. Which they weren’t. And most sports fans understand that.
Conspiracy theorists aside, Brady & Co. don’t warrant, singly or collectively, consideration for SPJoY2015 awards. Unless, of course, you just really hate the New England Patriots.
The same cannot be said for the perennial favorite, Roger, The Artless Dodger, Goodell.
