I’ve been using a walker for about 10 years now, I came out of a 2 month coma (twice the doctors gave me a 0% chance of coming out of it) and my legs had atrophied while I was unconscious. I had to relearn how to walk, but I never fully recovered so the walker makes sure I don’t turn an occasional stumble into a fall. People who think they may someday need of want a walker have no idea what’s ahead of them.
