No hostility towards Japan at all. Our family has sponsored three different exchange students from Japan over the past several years!
Interesting to note however, when they were brought to our club for a meal, they relished the typical American dishes! Having eaten true Japanese food myself, I have an understanding why.
I also have a grandson who has visited Japan, and he can’t wait to visit a Japanese Steak or Sushi restaurant here in the US! I do like caviar; but raw fish… not my cup of tea!
I forgot to mention, one of my closest friends is a Japanese American. His father was a part of the service during WWII that helped translate Japanese documents, and has his name on a commemorative plaque near the Minnesota River encampment where he was stationed…
