Considerting that studies by AARP and others who’ve investigated claims of R & D costs for pharmaceuticals have typically shown those costs are less than 1% of the claimed costs, why be suspicious? Advetising costs btw FAR EXCEED development costs. It’s especially interesting when prices rise on generics that have been on the market for decades, but get new patent guarantees.

Republicans/Fox “news” viewers think all deals like this are just swell — and in their own interest. You know, free market and all.
Another example of how our patriotic multinational corporations act in the best interest of the country.

Pharma hasn’t been doing much R for decades; they rely on govt funded basic research to universities, so it’s a double skim for them…
