Religion poisons everything, wrote Hitchens. Here we have the problem with christian terrorism. Terror inflicted on gays, atheists, abortion clinics, rationalism, science. Religions have had thousands of years to bring peace on earth and good will to men, and they’ve failed; utterly, miserably, and beyond redemption. Too many atrocities have been committed in the name of jesus and his dad and all these terrible belief systems have to be swept away before they destroy civilization. I don’t need a commandment to tell me that murder is wrong; do you?
