His problem is that he’s not committed enough to issues the radical right espouses to get Koch money in sufficient amounts to rescue himself. He is so inept, if he were to become the nominee, it would simply diminish everyone’s belief that the Republican party has any good sense left.

It may be true that he is not committed enough to the radical right’s causes to gather support from the radical right’s donors. Does that not make him more electable in the general election?

To have “any good sense left” presupposes that the GOP has any good sense to begin with. It’s a sorry day if we’re to judge the GOP by the clueless clowns parading and preening on stage. It’s truly the “Party of No.”

They should read the Preamble to the Constitution to understand what we intended our nation to be about and realize that the Constitution is only a user’s manual, not political scripture sanctioning the wealthy few to further their financial well-being by destroying the middle class.

It’s been “Selfishness & Greed” rules since dunderhead Reagan started the ball rolling in 1981, impoverishing and disheartening a lot of trusting, not particularly intelligent, educated, or experienced voters—all for an illusory mess of pottage.

And this is the smart Bush. What must the others have been like?

JEB? has plenty of money in a superPAC that he’s not supposed to have any control over. The problem is, they can’t finance his campaign, they can only run lying ads. Wonder if they can get their money back…

It’s the Romney strategy all over again. Win the nomination by staying middle of the road until the truly lunatic early leaders flame out. Then lose the election with your insensitive, .01% favoring policies and gaffe riddled speeches.

GHW: bad pilot deserted his crew, bailed out, left them to die. “W”; bad pilot, dodged ‘Nam and deserted from the National Guard after going AWOL. Neil, the crook convicted, fined only $70 K for stealing millions. Thought JEB might be the “smart one”, but he’s disproved that. Marvin, keeping out of the public eye and staying out of politics (publicly) may be the only smart one.

The Wolf in Your Midst and Uncle Joe — Both of you make very good points. The situation, i.e., so much support for the individuals currently topping the potential Republican ticket, is troubling.

I saw no reason to say Rubio won points over Bush.

Rubio only had the last word.
