When the US military withdraws their troops, then everything will change so that everyone back home has a life that is peaceful, prosperous, safe, and enjoyable.
The most hilarious of their (NRA) pronouncements is the phony claim burglars stay away from homes where they know there are guns– those are the houses “burglars” by definition, pick as targets so they can GET THEIR GUNS to move up to armed robbery!!!! (“Burglars” stay away from homes where people or dogs are around- they SEARCH FOR probable sources of guns.)
Then there’s wonderful Texas, where you can blow folks away, ON YOUR NEIGHBORS FRONT LAWN, when they are UNARMED, and get away with it!!
This is the sickest ‘toon I’ve seen this month. The number of guns added annually to the existing glut is a form of self destruction that the NRA insanely continues to encourage.
I am not against guns, I am against the insanity that surrounds the numbers and types readily, and needlessly, available.
Simple fact of the matter: gun restrictions increase crime. Look at Chicago, Washington, D.C., and every other major gun unfriendly area has a high murder and other crime rate.
GEO – Please read your local newspaper, also watch you local news station – THEY LOVE “BLEED/LEAD”, and see just how many stories there are of people being killed by someone they didn’t know breaking into their house.
It is a story the news would love “Whites Killed By Non-Whites”, they will even run a story of Non-Whites being killed by Non-White, provided drugs aren’t involved.
What you will find is this seldom happens, usually the people are killed over drugs, killed for being in the wrong gang, killed by a family member, or killed by that thing that gangs seem so good at – missing the person they are shooting at and killing an innocent bystander.
People are not going to break into your house and kill you, if you have a gun you will probably be killed by it, kill a member of your family, or have one of your children kill someone with it long LOOOONNNNGGG before you kill some breaking into your house.
By the way, if you have a gun, where do you keep it? Under your pillow where you can reach it quickly, and so can your kids, or in a safe place, so that (if it happens) someone is breaking into your house you can ask them to wait while get your gun.
If you really feel you need a gun for safety I would recommend a pump shotgun (the sound of loading a pump shotgun gets peoples attention) and when you fire it you have a better chance of hitting someone.
