It’s like a French diplomat observed years ago. In international politics, the Russians are chess players, willing to take small losses here & there, in pursuit of a final goal, whereas the Americans are poker players, willing to stake all for the hand now in hand. Our political leaders, who seem to lack even a basic knowledge of history (even our own!), also have an unenviable record of seeing very far down the road the possible consequences of their choices. If we want to be the world leader, we must do better!
Obama bashing as usual and not a clue as to what might be a solution. That is why the conservatives bomb everything, they can’t come up with any creative solutions and long term thinking isn’t even possible.
And when did “WE” overthrow the dictator in Libya? That was a popular uprising where the US gave support as part of an international coalition led by FRANCE!And it took over 10 years for US to go from Independence to the Constitution, so why do you expect THEM to have full democracy overnight?
“For might makes right! And, till they’ve seen the light,They’ve got to be protected,All their rights respected,Till somebody we like can be elected…” —Tom Lehrer, “Send the Marines”
This is very odd. Historically, the USA kicks out the democracy and supports the dictatorship. Ironically, the problems in the Mid-east are directly a consequence of that policy. Oops- I forgot, we’re not supposed to pay any attention to that.

Dose anyone remember the definition of insanity? This toon illustrates it perfectly. Our government is definitely run by insane idiots.
