Where on this earth does Payne get his information? The ultraconservative comic books? The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, NOT $15 per hour. Heck, it is not even the much proposed federal minimum wage of $10 per hour.

And ANY increase in that wage must first be voted on and approved by the Republican Congress, not a very likely proposition in an election season! Then and only then, can it be signed into law by any current president. And even that $7.25 has not been raised since long before president Obama was even voted into office in 2008!!

I know that these political editorial cartoons are all (on either political side) exagerations of the truth to make various points, but the cartoonists should at least start with some kind of truth, even the ultra conservative ones!!

There are a few other (real) reasons out there why jobs arte not being offered, or available. The real tragedy is that our congress can easily remedy some of them, but just WON’T!

And all the multi-letter agencies have no blame for their job-killing regulations?

Better not kill jobs! Just let the employers do what they feel like doing, and end up killing people instead. GOOD IDEA.

Actually, states that have raised the minimum wage are seeing a boost in the economy relative to their neighbors who haven’t. It turns out that when people have money, they spend it. I’m sure there’s a point where the minimum wage is too high, but no one in America has found that point yet. So the cartoon (and mfhorn’s comment) is wrong on a number of fronts. .http://www.thenation.com/article/score-does-minimum-wage-kill-jobs/

What state now has $15 minimum wage? Plese get your facts straight. Also automated order taking might be better so the orders don’t keep getting screwed up.

Again, you as well show me where there has been an actual increase to $15 already. The rest of your comment is just dumb.

Ok so first it’s at $15 now it’s working it’s way up (which it is in yearly increases) but still have yet to show proof where is it costing jobs? Show proof. Or is this more Voodoo economics?

Jamie Dimon just wrote an op-ed stating that the US should offer jobs to the foreign students that get their degrees in the US. He insists this will increase job creation.-So then the low-end jobs will be taken by illegal immigrants so minimum wage and regulations don’t have to be met (which is happening NOW, and people like TRUMP are doing the hiring). Then the normally well-paying technical jobs will go to people that come from countries with a lower standard of living that will accept lower pay.Manufacturing was already moved to other countries.-Can the rest of us be CEOs like Jamie?
