I’d say Davies is comparing your congress’s speed to the average speed of a glacier.

eg. The Greenland glacier was the fastest over the last few years:

”We are now seeing summer speeds more than four times what they were in the 1990s on a glacier which at that time was believed to be one of the fastest, if not the fastest, glacier in Greenland," Ian Joughin explained."

The flag tells me that congress is backing up. And, with environmental laws & regulations being repealed during Cheney & Bush’s administration, so has any progress toward cleaning up our act fallen behind.

Be calm. Soon the deniers will tell us there are no such things as glaciers. There never were. Its just something people made up to make deniers unhappy.

The scientists claim that by 2030 we’ll be in an ice age, so what is all the fuss?

As a real-life conservative (not a political conservative) I would believe the 99% not the 1%. It’s confusing when people call themselves conservatives but aren’t really. It’s almost as bad as the “progressives” who leap on the latest rumor without checking the facts.

The speed of glaciers is proportionate to the amount of meltwater they’re flowing on top of. The more they melt, the faster they go. And why are they melting faster?They must be Al Gore fans. Only possible reason.

Just like congress, the glaciers going backward: good toon.

Pentagon and CIA concerns about near future migrations, of people, not just glaciers, critical to wars, not just “weather”. Climate change is Man-accelerated, dramatically, slowing that change can be done, stopping it? maybe not.

Conservative legislators obviously have no concern about posterity, “deniers” are all closely inspecting their posteriors for “data” to support their position, which is quite a trick even for contortionists.
