In the Tower of London, large as life, The ghost of Ann Boleyn walks, they declare. Poor Ann Boleyn was once King Henry’s wife - Until he made the Headsman bob her hair! Ah yes! he did her wrong long years ago, And she comes up at night to tell him so.

With her head tucked underneath her arm She walks the Bloody Tower! With her head tucked underneath her arm At the Midnight hour -

Lew you have too many! It’s:

Divorced (Katherine of Aragon) Beheaded (Anne Boleyn) Died (Jane Seymour) Divorced (Anne of Cleves) Beheaded (Catherine Howard) Survived (Catherine Parr)

Anne of Cleves’ marriage was actually annulled, not ended by divorce (Henry found her unattractive and never consummated the marriage – he said “I liked her not well before, but now I like her much worse.”) She was also the longest-surviving of Henry’s wives, outliving both him & his widow Catherine Parr by 10 & 9 years respectively.

Catherine Parr (Survived) didn’t survive long – she married her first love, Thomas Seymour (Jane’s brother), after Henry’s death and died in childbirth the following year.
