    Reminds me of when my mother and mother-in-law ordered chimichangas in a Mexican restaurant and pronounced the “chang” like “clang”.

    gir63Doesn’t matter, most “quesadillas” today are nothing but a grilled cheese sandwich substituting a flour tortilla for white bread and Monterey jack for cheddar. Real quesadillas use corn tortillas and quesa blanco.

    Reminds me of the family with some Spanish that were vacationing in Mexico. At one restaurant, they could figure out most of the menu, but were stumped by the “Hey-yo” (Jello).

    bmonkOur recent pastor could always tell who knew her. Her name was pronounced A ya, spelled Ella.
