I watched the GOP candidates ON TV in NH last night. All were making promises which cannot, in reality, be fulfilled, and other promises which I believe they simply will not keep. After years, decades, of supporting the upper class, they all spoke of challenging the rich, and supporting the middle class. Just telling us what we want to hear.

Right on, MikeMa. I also would prefer a shorter campaign season… does anyone need longer than 90-days to determine how you’ll vote? Think of all the money not spent. Could that money be used for the common good—infrastructure, medical research, education?...Sorry, I’m delusional.

gotta love the gop. 4 factions all vying for control. social conservatives who want gov’t in everyone’s lives. libertarians who don’t gov’t in everyone’s lives. and, corporate who want no taxes, but want gov’t money. and, the militarists who want an empire and never-ending war.

A green suit and a bow tie? If that was a person on stage they would stand out to where we all knew who it was

^^ Brock is spot on. Moderate conservatives don’t last they usually go independent or just go become moderate and vote sensibly. The ultras scare the hell out of them.

If rank and file Republicans ever figure out how much Republican elites hold them in contempt, the party as we know it would disappear.

Instead, they will continue to watch Fox “news” and listen to Rush, etc. And they will ‘know’ they’re doing the right thing, because Fox “news” ratings are high and that ‘proves’ it.

Only one single Republican voted against the Planned Parenthood funding ban (better described as the “increase abortions by 345,000 per year by eliminating contraception” bill). There are no moderate Republicans left. They’ve been hounded out of the party, and all that’s left are people who simply cannot, will not govern the country.
