    At least Mom didn’t say “Wait until your father gets home!”. I always thought that was a really bad thing to do, if for no other reason than it can make kids fear their male parent. There was a “Family Circus” that addressed this: Mom tells them this, and when Dad gets home, instead of being greeted, all the kids are hiding in fear, and he has no idea what’s going on! Punishment should be shared by the parents, and it has to be fair.

    By the way, I do know that Hugh works at home as an artist, so there’s no “when your father gets home” part.

    Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but the Supreme Court just upheld the Separate Sovereigns Doctrine. Different enforcement agencies, different prosecutions, no double jeopardy…
