One year, for my birthday, my boss’ wife picked out a set of scented candles. There were 3: Vanilla, Lilac, and Rose…which just happened to be my 3 favorite scents in the world.
I don’t wear perfumes (severe allergy to a base note found in most perfumes) so I don’t use fragrances in the house either yet it never fails that someone will give me a scented candle, usually one of the perfume branded ones, for Christmas. I end up putting them on my doorstep on Christmas Eve as my luminaries.

My daughter gave me one that is supposed to smell like dirt. I put it somewhere in my garage.
