I was and am too weird to be bullied. Yes bullies are humans too and if a person doesn’t act quite correctly it breeds fear and repulsion. I didn’t know at the time. Bus was better than walking and for me in HS it was a long walk down Fondren road.
My brother and I had zero period classes, which started before our bus got there. We took the school bus to the nearby elementary (which started earlier) and then walked a mile over. But they told us to stop for liability reasons. So instead we had to walk 2.5 miles on much more dangerous roads.

I hated taking the bus to school. My bus was usually the last one there so I would have to hurry to my locker and then run to my first period class.

What Bus.?…. we walked the 4 miles. in Winter. sometimes in the street.. no one shoveled sidewalks.

I was so happy when I finally got to drive to high school in my senior year. Still couldn’t get any girls to give a ride to.
