At least he admits he’s a Communist, unlike his comrades Barry and Shrillary.

You’re right, Henry — The Chinese always had all the manufacturing jobs. The idea that fatcats laid off American workers, shut the factories and shipped those jobs overseas is just a liberal lie. Americans have never had jobs in factories or earned more than minimum wage or had pensions. Don’t let those commies fool you!

They really should be talking in detail about how they are going to grow the US economy. The “rising tide” theory clearly does not work. Most major cities need a pension fix, Infrastructure needs to be brought up to snuff, the tax code needs major revision to keep all the companies fleeing off shore to not pay US taxes. We are becoming a third rate, antiquated country because we are so polarized and only spend time fighting with each other.

Evidently, Payne doesn’t believe that jobs are important, despite Republicans’ laser like focus on Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!

Whatever happened to that, anyway? Did they ever pass any jobs bills?

@braindead08@waitingManThe difference between communist and socialist is only in their approach to power, Socialist LEGISLATE freedoms away, while communists just Take freedoms away. After that they all become one mass of tyranny, otherwise, without that tyranny they would not be able to exist. All those European countries you all think are socialists, they are not, they are as capitalists as the US is, the difference is that they have more and better social programs. Something the US has failed immensely, and please don’t blame the republicans; the democrats are just as selfish, after years of power they have bearly managed to have a semi-good health program. They could have deal with the insurance companies in a more definite way, but money got in the way, and still people are suffering, but as long as it doesn’t happen to me, everything is okay, typical American thinking.

But let’s not forget that ridiculously high union wages helped this a LOT. It is fun (sad) to go watch old union commercials from the 60s/70s on youtube. And having a family that had many union members working in the auto industry, I can speak from personal experience. People making close to 6 figure salaries, years ago, for basically doing a menial task – with all kinds of benefits to boot. My father worked in the garment industry (non-existent in this country today) and the same thing happened to them thanks to the unions.
