There was a street coming into Columbus, Ga, in 68 that one side was clean and neat homes and yards, the other side was junk cars in the yard and dilappidation. The clean and neat was the BLACK neighborhood, that took some pride in themselves. The “poor white trash” could care less, except about flying their Confederate battle flag on their porches, and on their pickup antennas.
That was a bit of an object lesson.
