That reminds me of a Disney story where Gyro Gearloose fails to repair his own pop-up toaster and so invents a new one. A bolt of lightning sends the toast right through the roof and the next day a rocket lands on the moon and the astronauts report finding a piece of toast… on the radio while Gyro is listening and toasting a piece of bread in front of a candle.
Gyro doesn’t claim the toast because he’s embarrassed that he was unable to beat a simple little bread toaster.
I remember Jon getting the shock of his life after Garfield shoved slices of bread in the toaster and they all exploded out!It’s in my Favourites somewhere.xxx
