I just got around to reading yesterday’s comic strip and comments. Regarding DIY projects and permits, some of you may want to read about Alan Kim Fahey, a retired phone company employee. He wrote a hilarious book about his phone repair experiences, titled “Hollywood Unlisted.” He also constructed his own house in Acton, CA, which he named “Phonehenge West.” In 2011, the building attracted the attention of Los Angeles County code enforcement officials.
