    Hopefully he doesn’t say “Go jump off a cliff next time.” that would not be a good example of being a parent. Especially saying climb a tree! (I know he didn’t mean literally but still.)

    Looks like Calvin’s dad works on an upper floor of a tall office building.When it comes to harassing his father, Calvin is really going out on a limb today.

    I cured my kids of that by giving them long lists of chores to do while they were home. Smart comments plummeted.

    However, Dad’s values allow him to support the comfortable home Calvin lives in, three square meals a day and the freedom to enjoy summer days without worry. Not all children get this life. They should, but they don’t.
