If Lucy weren’t a girl, I’d think this was my elder brother in the seventies. This was before we had a TV with a remote; one day he simply became the boss of what we watched, and my parents seemed to think that was OK. “Saying no” was not an option, as it was also apparently OK to get smacked for not doing as he said.
I learned to read with peanuts in the fifties, instead of Dick and Jane. For a lifetime it was one of my favorite comics, and I was sad when it ended. But the older I grew, the more I realized Lucy was a first-class, abusive [unprintable slur], and it gave a different feeling to the entire strip. “Fussbudget” doesn’t begin to cover it.

Linus should read some of the political comments here on GoComics.
That’s enough to give you grey hairs!

Linus, you should add a little something to that ice cream. Not saying what.

Yes, we celebrate Labor Day on the first Monday in September. You got that right! :-)
As usual, I will miss your posts during your absence from GoComics. I will look forward to your return. Regardless, I hope you have a great week.
