    Yes, the tuna harvest is ruined because tuna are predators of fish that have it in their system, and so concentrate it in their bodies.

    Nab, I take it from you post that you wouldn’t believe in homeopathic medicine. From your comments, I’ve gotten the impression you’re from Oregon (or nearby). How did you escape the mind-control?

    Even if you grant for the sake of argument that the concentrations of mercury in top predators are toxic in and of themselves, if you have adequate selenium in your diet the mercury you ingest will be mostly bound up and excreted instead of being absorbed into your body.

    The fishies are seeing their doctor, if he can help. Meanwhile, I continue to eat canned tuna from time to time, though not every day!
