It’s true that George Bush promoted an ambitious anti-aids program, primarily in Africa, thus saving countless lives. He got little credit for this humanitarian effort because the balance of his “foreign policy” was so massively screwed up that not only were countless other lives lost, but US prestige and global moral standing sunk to unbelievably low levels. It has recovered a bit, but the republicans are bound and determined to prove to the world how clueless we are.

Bush wasn’t cropped out of the picture. Obama’s handlers put him at the end of the row. President Bush, being the gentleman he is, accommodated their request. Anyone else notice Revered Sharpton’s place of prominence in the center of the picture? Mrs. Obama has her usual scowl.

You can’t be from New York then. The Times is a liberal rag and always has been. Great Sunday crossword puzzle though.

There’s lots to criticize about George Bush, but I don’t think he was racist.

The New York Times editors airbrushed Bush out of the Selma photo and then lied about their reasons. Let’s see, are they liberal or conservative?

And btw, why couldn’t the current president walk along side the former president?
