Sigh ever since Little Dee ended Cul de Sac is the only reason I get out of bed some mornings.

Ah. The passive-aggressive critic strikes again!

Hey, faint praise is still praise.

Flagged here and on every strip I have read so far this morning.

Fix your hair Petey. You look silly.

Today, the bottom shelf in the back room…. Tomorrow, the internet!!

No wonder Petey was afraid to give her the Christmas present!

Poor Petey, he can’t win with that girl.

I didn’t even know Petey worked in anything other than shoebox dioramas.

As long as they spelled his name right on the tag this time, it’s better than his last exhibition.

All Hail Richard Thompson. All Hail every cartoonist who sweats and strives to give us these daily clumps of manna, these ephemeral drops of ambrosia, even if it appears that comic strips have been relegated to the secondary Art Room showcase of the world’s attention, on the very bottom shelf behind the papier-mache King Tut masks of lesser, flashier media. Nice, nice, very nice. Nice, nice, Paradise.

I wanted to get “Happy National Cartoonists Day” cards to send to all my friends, but I couldn’t find any, anywhere (cards, not friends). They must have all sold out!

Every time Ernesto or Viola run across Petey, why don’t they just take a whizz on the poor guy’s head? That’s about the only thing they haven’t done to him yet!
