The thing about Alaska was on Jeopardy last week.

That’s because we only had 3 stations (sometimes 2 more independent ones depending on where you lived) and Ed Sullivan was the only thing on on Sunday nights.

“Alaska is the only state in the US that be typed using a single row on an ENGLISH keyboard.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Picky, picky, picky.

“Alaska” on a single line was Final Jeopardy on a recent broadcast…(On a “QWERTY” keyboard – there are other keyboard configurations in English.)

And I was one of them.

Same here – I was in Asia Minor all of 1964 – and don’t think I missed a thing. (No TV there at that time)

If the state splits into east and west halves, the one-hand typing still holds. not if the state splits into north and south halves. In either case, then texas will become the third biggest state, california fourth, montana fifth.

I was stationed at “SWEETWATER AFS TEXAS” in the Air Force. That is typed using only the left hand (if you don’t hunt and peck)!
