Sad, isn’t it?

You mean nobody goes to these places for the historical significance, just for places to eat, drink coffee, shop, and stay overnight?

Well with me, it’s to see if there’s a TV and radio station and a transit system.

Try Vermont. There are no McDonald’s there.

I don’t know about Vermont but we went on vacation in Mexico, in Cancun, and the ride from the airport to the hotel was totally depressing — nothing but one franchise after another: TGIF’s, McDonalds, Gap, etc, etc….

I didn’t know Zack loves Starbucks.

I agree. I’ve been to DC twice, never set foot in a Starbucks, KFC or Gap. Beautiful city.
