My bureau is full of the ones that aren’t missing.

When socks disappear (through a rip in the hosezone layer), they inevitably end up in someone else’s dryer. The thing to do is contact a broker and list your extras on the sock exchange, to try and find out who has the matching halves.
How very true. I get missing articles sometimes.
