someone sicced the chaplain on me back in my non-com days in the marines. No personal crisis. Just some NCO’s felt I wasn’t respecting them enough.

Oops. What did I do to change my posting name? I have been totally hidden by using something else, and I won’t tell you what it is until I get it changed back to my “sign in” name.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    TexTech:

    No S indeed.

I am completely ambivalent as to whether the Chaplin is out of bounds.

Part of me thinks she should stay out unless and until Mel comes to her, and part of me thinks this is the right time for intervention.

Arguments for either part have an equal chance of convincing me.

So long as the S isn’t impacted, Alex. That can be a pain in the A, literally.

Roz has her nose place firmly in Mel’s business and good intentions, so I suspect she may lose a friend until things get worked out or Mel wakes up. At least she won’t be working with her anymore. :0)

Took name off profile page and now I am back to posting name, but that’s telling what my real name is, isn’t it? By tomorrow it will be gone though so guess no harm done. What is the profile page for?

@rac0308=just saw your instructions but had figured out that the playing around I had done on a rainy Sunday afternoon had caused the problem. Name was changed immediately even on the two postings I did this morning before I noticed my name showing up. Still wonder what the profile page is for as am sure no one wants their real name to appear, although I trust ALL the great posters who love comics.

We are all going to look stupid when we find out that the male who reassigned her is gay and this series is about him and “don’t ask- don’t tell”

Everyone needs to watch the story on the following link.

    http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/421/video-seg1.html

Thanks to those who have. It is lengthy but well worth it.

@ justice22 & jster51. the link worked fine for me. the military is no different than any other gov. agency, private corporation or the catholic church. they are only interested in covering their own a*s. it’s the most basic tenet of capitalism.

Thanks for that link. I had read about the woman who was murdered that they talked about early in the video before.

I read once that only 1 in 4 rapes are reported.

Granted, these are Canadian statistics and not specific to the military. They are, however, actually referenced with original sources:

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. The more eyes on Mel’s situation now, the best chance of action if the worst case senario happens, but having said that, I think GT will surprise us. Maybe DeltaEagle will be right.

I think Seabrook’s thoughts earlier about setting an example to the men by not oggling Mel indicates he’s not gay. Maybe also that he intends to remain professional with Mel and not take advantage of her.
