Aside from causing social divisions in this country, the Repubs have also been trying to dis-credit scientists for the last 35 years. And they are making progress! As environmental awareness began to influence many, through such books like “Silent Spring” by Rachel Carson, and corporations were being asked, and legislated into reducing pollution and toxic emissions, well, that did not sit well woth CEOs and owners, who promptly got their hirelings in D.C. to reverse all that nonsense, and let them “do business”. The movement lasted through the Carter administration, then was assailed, and rolled back by his successor, Ronald Reagan, champion of Wall Street and the wealthy elite!

“In 2008, Obama was anti vac.”So you’re going to focus on arguing with his beliefs from 7 years ago rather than deal with today?

There is no chance of autism. Autism and vaccination are completely unconnected. There have been many, many legitimate studies attempting to follow up any link, and…nada.

Which means people really need to let that one go, and cope with facts.

No, he was not. He wasn’t up to speed on the science which had already at that point disproven any link to autism, but he was not anti-vaccination.

Since then, he’s caught up with the science, too.
