That would be NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA! Our Ambassador to France was there. LIke the Canadian Prime Minister, President Obama did sign the condolences book for us.
What bothers me more is the censorship, or self-censorship in this country, even the nervous little twits who think they’’re NFL referees, of sorts, on “entertainment” blogs.
Lots of world leaders didn’t make it. China? Russia? India? Australia? (The Aussie would have lost 36 hours travelling each way. No one in Australia even mentioned his absence.)It was a local event. Most of the World Leaders didn’t need to write off an impromptu week of lost time to turn up.You know your POTUS always travels with an entire Navy fleet whenever he goes somewhere, don’t you?Happy to foot the bill are you?
^^^Hey, Kim Jung-Un wasn’t their to support France during its time of mourning either!!!!! LolWe’ve asked Europe over and over for help with the war on terror. When they get struck hard by Islamic terrorists, wouldn’t that be THE PERFECT TIME to stand by their side.I was going to say “just another dumb move by Obozo”, but now I’m thinking this was a much more deliberate strategy by not showing up or at least sending Biden.Barry has never liked the war on Islamic terrorists.Disgusting.
George W Bush was in Edinburgh atteninding a G-20 summit on July 7, 2005 when the attacks in London occurred. He did not go down to London with Tony Blair to standby by our ally in its time of need. He immediately flew BACK TO WASHINGTON. The next day, July 8, he went to the British Embassy in Washington to sign the book of condolences. The reason he probably did this was because Secret Service told him to leave for his own security reasons. Think about logistics of having the President attend a rally in a foreign country on less than 48 hour notice. The British or German Chancellor can have breakfast with their families at home, fly to Paris for the rally and be back in their capitals in time for dinner. It isn’t that easy when you’re on the other side of the pond.
And just for the record, no head of state from the Western Hemisphere attended the rally; this includes the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.
Admittedly, it was short notice for Obama, who would be a most-prized target for any other “cell” in Paris. Yet, someone higher than our ambassador should have gone. It wasn’t just to represent the White House, but to represent the American People, in solidarity with the French People.
Also absent: Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Antigua … wait, just look at the Western side of your globe. One Canadian cabinet minister. Not a single other “leader.”
When will Obama use his pen to write out a speech condemning Radical Islam? That would be standing with those at the rally, wouldn’t it?Didn’t even have to leave his rental house to do that. Why didn’t he?He still has a chance to write and deliver that speech. Why hasn’t he?What he did do was deny that radical Islam exists and is responsible for terrorist acts around the world.
Now do one of every other leader of every other Western Hemisphere nation saying the same thing. Or did you not bother to read the list of who was able to make it to the march?
The forty or so heads of state did not lead the million(s) of person march. They assembled on a secure street, lined up in a line so everyone was in front, and took a few steps forward for the camera. Then the footage was superimposed with the masses. A great photo op but hardly rises to the importance of must attend for solidarity against the perpetrators. There are better and more effective ways of achieving peace.
The Americans were there. Just a week late, but the hug was delicious.James Taylor singing someone else’s song was a nice touch, too.Whiny voices lifted in desperation always bring immediate results. It stopped Radical Muslim terrorism in its tracks…
It was a fake rally — no politician actually was there! See http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/paris-march-tv-wide-shots-reveal-a-different-perspective-on-world-leaders-at-largest-demonstration-in-frances-history-9972895.html

And let us not forget how many world leaders were there even though they oppress freedom of speech in their own countries. Anyone for a flogging?

Biden could have easily gone and done something useful for once. These events are VP ready.
