Reminds me of Wide World of Sports, “the agony of defeat”.
Specific gravity is the opposite of general levity.
If this strip had audio, I would expect to hear the “Goofy Yell”…
If not the “Original X-games”, it might be how the Winter Olympics got its start…

He loses points in his 360. He didn’t keep his skis parallel. So – Practise! Do it again! 1000 times! (teacher says 10,000 times – but this being a comic, I think we can give him a little slack.)
