GM sales were up 14% I think was what I heard yesterday. It ain’t all about hybrids. I still wouldn’t get terribly excited about buying a gas guzzler, and when March comes, gas prices will, like every year, march back upward.

Well, we can agree on something! He should have let the fat cats collapse and jailed a lot of them. But let’s remember that most of the bailout policies were in place before he took office and that hybrid cars were a tiny corner of the relief offered the auto industry..But you keep preachin’, there, Henry. We’ll start the book burnings and window-smashing really soon now, and then we can open the camps and really get this country straightened out for you.

Sorry, Henry, the MISSION ACCOMPLISHED was for a different mission. You know, the one were we would be treated as liberators, it would be over in six weeks, and would pay for itself.

The one that had no lasting consequences except for 4400 or so American soldiers dead, 32,000 physical casualties, uncounted mental casualties, one or two hundred thousand Iraqi deaths, turmoil and instability in Iraq ever since, and enormous debt and bitter division within the United States.

But he sure looked good in that flight suit at sunset, didn’t he?
