It is high time Cuba was “recognized.” Once again, BHO led the way. Very pleased with my President.

We do business with far more shady countries than Cuba has ever been. Heck we have relationships with Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria. Why wouldn’t we be civil with Cuba? That doesn’t make any sense and anyone who is against this has no valid reason to be.

I agree. The dysfunctional Congress will soon be a footnote in history but I think the President has made great progress,

Funny how Cuba is labeled so evil by many posters yet China gets a pass. China, the supplier of billions of dollars of what we buy remains a repressive government.

Surely, “Aiding and Abetting” America’s dedicated enemies is an impeachable offense!-Even if it was a good idea for businesses without morals to profit (temporarily) Obama is the World’s Worst “Trader”…receiving 1 innocent American held for 5 years in Cuba’s prison system for releasing 3 of Cuba’s actual spies is not a desirable “trade”! -The damage to Freedom Fighters inside Cuba and the peril for Americans abroad is now a certainty! Expanding the Communist State is a peril to all Central and South America!-Selling out your Country is not a “good legacy” for any US President!

Weakness and corruption-the hallmarks of the Obama regime. Other countries can kidnap and abuse our citizens and extort us. Foreign nationals can bribe their way into the U.S. with votes(Mexico) or campaign donations(the Isaias bank scammers of Ecuador). And blind men posing as liberals cheer them on.

Fifty years of blind stupidity driven by “refugees” loyal to Batista and the NY mobs that were running the gambling and smuggling operations in Cuba.

Yes, totaltiarian brutality and torture happens in Cuba, how HORRIBLE! And right there at Guantanamo no less! How awful of the Castros to build such a prison, and allow such torture and unjust detainment! Oh, wait…

The 600,000 plus “tourists”, most Cuban-Americans going home to visit relatives and give them money, were so restricted in their movements! Of course, opening relations means they can travel back and forth freely, and actually spread “American values” of freedom, democracy, and free speach to their relatives and friends down there! How DARE we not think of bombs as the only answer.

dear dtroutma the stupidity is just now starting

Night gaunt: well aware of who Batista was, a guy who worked for my dad years ago was a marathon runner who’d escaped from the Batista regime.

But, DANG! I have to agree with Rand Paul again on this one, if 50 years didn’t succeed in changing the regime, how effective is the effort?

“Republicans will control congress next year. That’ll wipe that smile off his face.”And in 2016 the Republicans will finally succeed in preventing Obama from winning reelection.

MangeyMoose said, about 3 hours ago @disgustedamerican “Even if it was a good idea for business…”-Moose, I included “business” because the news reported that the US Chamber of Commerce and business spokespeople were praising the sellout by Obama.-Yes, America is part of, maybe leader of, making “business” the #1 priority for living….instead of the good reasons for businesses for production of necessities for living and for providing jobs for the workforce to earn personal income to support families, and to exercise charity as God approves to help our neighbors.-The consequences for putting money first will come to pass as Jesus gave the Apostle John the prophecy of the final punishment for earth’s “Babylon” in the Bible’s book of Revelation, chapters 17 and 18.-My point was to endanger the national security in order to expand business by dropping sanctions against a Communist State (since 1959) that tortures, imprisons and executes Cuban citizens that the Castro brothers disapprove is a horrible legacy for Obama to leave, if he leaves, and doesn’t write an executive order or write a presidential “memo” to call off future presidential elections!

http://cnsnews.com/print/868408-Many of you are anti-GWBush, but he was on the correct side in the “War on Terror”….on the side to oppose and do everything possible to stem the Global Jihadists in their planned and plotted mass murders.-Now Obama has ignored the 1982 US Dept. of State designation put on Cuba, for non-paranoid factual reasons. Now Sec.State Kerry must re-nig on the Sponsor of Terrorism history Cuba has earned, to be partners in terrorism with Syria, Iran and Sudan that also are designated as enemies of civilized nations, as well as enemies of their own citizens.-Not only is Cuba safe haven for ETA and FARC, it is working to spread terrorism into Colombia and elsewhere in our hemisphere. Cuba gives safety and provisions to terrorists wanted by the US government, with housing, food stamps and medical care.-Obama is on the wrong side of the 21st century battle for control of the nations of earth. -I hope all news services report these facts, as CNSnews.com has done.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2014/12/18/the-insiders-obama-throws-in-the-towel-on-cuba/-printed 4 pages. article by Ed Rogers 12/18/14.-One fact is that Cuba under the embargo has followed its sponsor, the USSR, and now Russia, down the economic slide into disaster. So Obama plans to use bankrupt USA credit to re-supply the Castro brothers! (that is NOT the choice a president would make if he was obeying the Constitution and supporting and defending our nation!)
