Do you watch those man-on-the-street interviews before and after elections? (Man: Ebola Terrorists comin' accross the border- that's what's got me torn up.) There's no nice way to put it; to a man (and woman), every last one of them comes off like a complete idiot. (Woman: The president wants to help us- those republicans won't let him!) So when people talk about how they should make it easier for Americans to vote, I have to ask: (Woman 2: It was different when I came. We weren't exactly legal. But now they need to wait their turn.) Why do they hate America so much? (Man 2: Drones & NSA & no jobs are just a cover. If you don't like the president, you're racist.)

In the early 1960s, I remember hearing my uncles talk on the back porch after family get-togethers. Having a few beers, they talked about their army days, the mistakes the generals made, refought WWII the right way. But they always ended up complaining about their two biggest fears: Communists and n*****s. We have come so far. Now, my co-workers in the shop end up talking about Liberals and Blacks. If you stay to listen long enough, though, they still refer to Obama as a n*****. So maybe not far enough.

The racism thing has gone out of style.
Obama is so bad, the blacks are now reminding people he is half white…

Now, you’re sounding like a lot of FOX News pundits, that voting should be restricted because people are stupid. While granted there is a basis in reality, I honestly think voting should be made mandatory for everyone. So instead of a small minority determining everything, after all the efforts to suppress the vote, you would have all the people represented.

I hope the ebola crisis ends soon; it is very difficult for me to breath while wrapped completely in plastic wrap….

Like all rights, the right to vote should be exercised responsibly.

That is exactly the problem with limiting the right to vote. If they vote badly, then the scope of what they vote on needs to be reduced. That is, the powers of the government and the things it produces (the state, including corporations and other institutions) need to be minimized and restrained.

Before we start applying intelligence tests to voters, how about we apply them to candidates?

I haven’t heard one person say Ebola was a factor in the way they voted. How about the lowest household income since 1978 in the Carter days?
Any American with a decent job that barely pays the bills, get ready for 15 million uneducated Illegals that will take your job for half your paycheck!Oh and we’ll pay for their healthcare and kids education! Here come even smaller paychecks! Thanks B. Hussein!
