Sounds like an “F Minus” strip.

For those who constantly criticize one or both of the adults in this comic, this looks, to me, like two people who do love each other, even if they don’t always show it…

Once again, Lynn gives us dialogue that could have come from almost every home.

I enjoy it!! lets face it, we have all done it, at least all the ladies!!!

As someone whose wife has been at more than a few late outings, I can testify this is true.

She couldn’t have called him to see if everything was OK?

Sorry, this isn’t funny. It might be possible to craft a passable gag out of the fact that he somehow knew about her insomnia, but as it stands, this ain’t it.

It doesn’t have to be funny, mw. Sometimes it’s good enough (at least for me) to read something and think, “I know what that’s like!” It’s a form of literature, in that respect.

Early in our marriage (40 plus years) we came to a mutual agreement – The one of us who is out late will arrive eventually. There is no point worrying unless the phone rings late at night or – Heaven forbid – a state trooper arrives at the front door.

How true! Not only we worry about our kids out there, but we also worry about our loved ones out there, also… ;)
