Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for April 04, 2010
Transcript:
Alice: YAY! HAMBURGERS! Petey: Nothing on mine, Mom! Mom: OK. Be real quiet while I order. I'd like a medium large cheeseburger, no pickle, fries and a root beer; a Li'l Kiddieburger swimming in ketchup; and a Punyburger with nothing on it and with the bun and the meat in separate bags. And extra napkins, please. Voice: That's a Number 6, a Number 21-B, and a Number 5633-9.4A. Mom: How they can reach that level of complexity with only five ingredients is beyond me. Alice: Ew! There's ketchup everywhere!

Picky Petey strikes again. I’ll be happy with no more than mustard & pickles on mine, but pepers & onions would also be welcome.

Back in the 70s, we used to order “Big Mac, hold the Styrofoam.” Our ecological cry was heard and McDs recalled all the Styrofoam, and burned it.. Aside from using their restroom, haven’t been there since.

If I’d my druthers- Just hot mustard & dill relish, maybe some good ripe tomato and crisp sweet onion slices too. I like that he’s having a punyburger with meat and bread separate ;-) I got up at 3 and have only had my grapefruit so far - got to make some breakfast. I think I’ll treat myself to french toast with maple syrup and strawberries before I start to clean up after my houseguests. I just took them to the airport.

Its just that they are all closed on Sunday and every time I ride by there on that day its like
“mmmmmm Chick Fil A… must… have one .. ooop they are closed .. douhhhhh !”
Maybe I should just pick upa sixpack on Saturday ?
Funny thing is Monday Morning I can ride by and not even notice the place.

I love that there is an actual number for Petey’s order!

I’ve noticed an inverse relationship between the number of menu choices, and the quality of the product. When there were only 3-4 choices, and they were actually made to order rather than quickly knocked together from pre-made subcomponents, the stuff tasted better. I want a burger direct from the grill, not out of plastic drawer, thank you.

Like Petey, I always get my hamburger plain and dry. Maybe cheese, no bun
