if this had been his wife, she would have been up by now, fixing his dinner. I know I saw my mom get up and fix dinner after major surgery when I was in 3rd grade (back in the 50’s) and on the other side I saw my dad lay in bed and moan for days after simple day surgery………

Yes, men are usually babies when ill and we women just “carry on”, but when I love someone, I’m glad to baby him.
