“Aww, Bill, if Republicans quit recycling the same ideas over and over and actually tried for something new”-You mean like the same old tired things that Democrats can’t let go of?Race card, the so called “War on Women”, wanting kids to starve, throwing grandma over a cliff, wanting to pollute the air and water, blaming Bush even six YEARS into Obama’s tenure? This and more are recycled every election season, except you keep the race card and Bush constantly in the front. If you could actually drop doing these things you’d be admitting that all of these are all baseless lies to further your agendas in Washington.
This is absolutely idiotic — or at least massively ill-informed. Quit watching FoxNews, Bok, it’s making you ignorant.Obama gets briefed regularly. Sometimes it is in person, sometimes it is in written form. Most presidents got it in written form until George W. Bush, who apparently preferred a verbal briefing. Well, we all know how well THAT went, so Obama prefers to alternate written and verbal. He absolutely does NOT miss briefings, as suggested here.
Yes, an idiotic cartoon, and false. Editorial cartoonists should feel an obligation to do at least basic research on the topic they’re writing on, rather than trusting Roger Ailes. Although that would kill a lot of conservative cartoons, since the right-wing lurch has given reality has such a strong liberal bias these days.
The “daily” briefings are at the President’s discretion. Some Presidents have liked them, others have preferred other formats. He can’t miss something is his decision to have.
Yes, intelligence briefings like the ones that for months prior to the invasion of Iraq planned by PNAC which told the President, and staff, that Saddam no longer had any WMDs weren’t worth attending.
All he needs to know is that (1) Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, (2) Saddam is allied with al Qaeda, (3) overthrowing him will be a cake walk, (4) we’ll be greeted with flowers, (5) the grateful Iraqis will pay us back through their old revenues and (6) 10 years from now, fanatical rightwing hacks will have forgotten how many of our children were killed for his idiotic delusions..Ooops. Wrong president. My bad.

If that idea didn’t work at the Republican National Convention in 2012, why would it work here?
