Let us not forget that the US is the only country in the Americas to carry out executions. According to the Guardian, we are #9 in most executions carried out, which is nothing to be proud of, especially when you look at the company we keep: China, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen…and I feel sure some people here wouldn’t mind having beheadings and televising them.
