At a rare point in history when we were all united, when we had the world on our side, when it was clear who the enemy was and where they were:

    GEORGE W. BUSH INVADED IRAQ!!!

Billions and billions of dollars later, thousands of American soldiers dead, thousands of new terrorist created, and still you hear the cry “All you do is blame Bush!”

Look at what the GOP has given us - our economy has really been destroyed, milions have lost jobs and homes, and people still want to let the GOP back into power.

Blame Bush by all means, but make sure to blame Reagan, too. I knew in 1980 that we were finished.

Good hit Mr. Rall. Especially the poke about reading. We should all be just a bit more self-radicalized and much more better-read (than dead).

    …shouldn’t that be 535 congressmen?

Actually more, because the personnel makeup of Congress changes every two years, and all those extra people should be counted.

The complete decimation of the Republican Party is what this country needs. The pernicious mindset and tactics of the stale conservative ideology proponents are the main challenge for this country to finally break through towards a better status quo. I was going to say a new world order but I fear the retaliation from said Jacobins.

It’s not like any country would disappear from the map Churchill, nor that you’d have dictatorial laws to subjugate citizens. A new order implies just a new level of cooperation and agreement between countries and its citizens.

Nations will naturally coalesce one day into a single entity of course because of the advancements in communication and cultural interchange. There will be a time in which frontiers will be obsolete, when nations transform their “swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks” and not have to engage in warfare anymore.

Yeah, Isaiah was the first NWO operative I guess.

edmondd, you’ve just described the inevitable evolution of enlightened civilization. Unless the Neanderthal right destroys it with guns and bombs first.

It’s a shame to see narrow self-interest trumping wisdom.
