NATO members are supposed to spend at least 2% of its GDP on defence. Only 4 do: Estonia (2%), the USA (4.4%), the UK (2.4%) and Greece (2.3%).
The commitment is for other countries to get to this to 2% over the next ten years.Russia might just convince a few more to hurry it up. Until then, looks like the US is still going to be THE defence umbrella for NATO. I roll my eyes.
NATO’s relevance & limitations are not due to Obama, or just the US…it involves 28 nations. (hang on a sec, Omq R, just a couple days ago you said the US practically runs NATO. – Yes, well, about time the other NATO nations had more of a voice & influence if they want to be relevant. i.e what you get out is proportional to what you put in)
Obama the Straw Man, excellent! And no doubt he will write an executive order to henceforth order only ISIS oil to lubricate the NATO robot! They only make $3 million a day now….to keep up the expansion of the Caliphate, they could use new customers….unbeheaded, of course.

Ukraine is not in NATO. NATO involvement would be another world war.
Stopping Russia from Ukraine is about as easy as stopping China from taking over Hong Kong. Not going to happen.
