The Pentagon, and CIA are quite concerned about what’s going on with climate, and environmental concerns from many other “sectors”. Just saw Inhofe’s rant from 2/23/10-(at least S-SPAN actually shows what these nuts are REALLY saying) as he tried to discount the IPCC report, NOT ONE OF HIS “FACTS” was TRUE! This is the dude denying scientific research from thousands of sources that confirm the evidence?

And yes, Inhofe and most “deniers” do trot out the same “religious texts” to back their “positions”.

If america was so overwhelmingly leftist as the “revolutionnaries” and teabaggers say (yay! Gay word! If you guys weren’t so homophobic, it wouldn’t be so fun to use!), America would have done something about global warming.

If the “left” were as far left as the teabaggers believe, we would have nationalized all industry, established national healthcare providers (not just insurance), shot all the CEOs and redistributed their money. (looks around) Nnnnoope.

Last time I was in a discussion about global warming on the Net, all the science was on the skeptics’ side and all the faith in unnamed authorities was on the believers’ side. I remember when it was the Left that was skeptical and anti-authoritarian. That’s literary criticism – I can’t comment on the science because it all seems to be about models and hypotheses rather than physical observations.

Anyway you’re going to see a big switch on among the corporate party as soon as they all get their money into nuclear.

oil; god must have looked and said: ONLY the uknightedstates can not nationalize their oil….or their banks, or their health care….seem as tho, everyone else on the planet CAN. Arctic ocean oil(formerly part of Africa…b4 the “shift”). full of oil, Alaskan oil on land has nat gas and oil reserves beyond grasp of most, thas why sarin would not build her promised oil/gas lines…she quit, and was bought out by LORD murdocks foxnoose corp. She also in line for ladyship and entran to house of lords for life, like reagan, kissenger, bush 1, rumsfeld, and many “talking heads” on the tube. US needs to ban foreign ownership of banks(allowed by Lord reagan) and Medias.

keep in mind there is huge oil in the midwest U.S.and all over Alaska, just need the political will to use it.

worlds LARGEST oil fields in Iraq, last month the china/BP/royal dutch shell given leases as the US troops were wasted for their right to do so…US military is used to create “brits style” democracy to so. Once again, oil wars used used to save royalist oil companies .

The war in Iraq was NOT for US oil, bush was right on that- soon enuff he be on his american knees getting “paid” and knighted by the queen( who owns BP) for his “great work”. how many more wars for oil with american boys and girls? (hillary setting up another one in Iran….

Oil companies noe all of the backward world bank energy ideas only possible with $6.00 gasoline, so they doing their best to get the price there….it makes the oil companies investments in solar wind, bio mass, corn fuel, since ’70s profitable. first earth day in ann arbor michigan sponsored by OIL companies, MC: airther godfrey(most trusted man in america), whole eco movement is/has been suspect since in most minds. they have successfully paralyzed American political thought into “big is bad”=right wingers and “small is beautiful= left wing, while they rip and rob all.

this nation has the largest Nat gas and oil supplies of ALL time, only allowed to be developed by the royalist oil companies. Look at BP investments since ‘1974, all Alternative energies” NO nukes fits/suits them fine.

follow the money, you see who controls energy “debates”, follow the money u see who controls “eco” movement, the right. costofwar.com

After that enlightening analysis, all I can add is: The oil must be in the ground for some larger geological reason, such as greasing the tectonic plates, not for us to remove it all and burn it up. Quadrillions of tiny creatures died to make it, over eons of time. How wasteful we are to squander it all in a couple of centuries! And shouldn’t we at least be putting something back in its place? (Thoughts from a thoroughly nonscientific mind…)

we could keep the coal in the ground for our great great great grand children to mine for diamonds. there is no “clean coal< it is nasty period. oil has some uses. America has huge reserves. google: project bronco.

make safe and non radiation FUSION plants( as France/Japan are developing) for free electric power.

Mag levitation mass transit for free freight and people, use sub zero single beam, using very little power) run down the interstates. park the cars and trucks( use Nat gas for local trucks), free electric for cars and local runs.

ALL you need is the political will, and ignore the flack that it is TOO big, huge etc. all coming from oil toadys, no matter they do not know they are toadies for royal oil…lameo “Big is bad-small is beautiful- yadda yadda. bring the troops home from oil wars. ted noted it costs one million per solider per year, we can not afford that, we can afford nation wide(NOT piece mill) free mag lev trains and fusion plants.

Teds cartoon correct, the Russians (and others) going for the oil, and they have a VERY bad environmental record of getting it, massive spills, as do the Chinese.

Jax, fusion is a great concept, if you get 100% containment, 100% of the time- one little “oopsie” and we’re all toast.

There ain’t no “free” electric energy.

it is already happening, Princeton reactor broke past even(amount put in- back out),1998 but oily bush lost the international bid for next one, the reactor is being built in france, with/out much US help. but if you listen (it wont be ‘ready’ intil 2030–yadda yadda, then you will see the rest of the world gone past - they’re not waiting…japan/france/korea/ and mo sent $$ and their best and brightest …they look at the U.S. as “Quaint” its energy pollicies and kow-towing to royal oil and its wars largest oil fields in Iraq now opened for lease under china/BP/Exon/royal dutch shell they now laughing all the way to their banks. (yanks fell for it again) France: shall we go to Iraq (for their royal oil or invest in fusion tech? hmmm guess what they did. When the brits and U.S. demanded they go to war they said no thanks, and are surpassing our standard of living.

now we are past the theoretical, it only takes political will, the one the God gave us to reject the brits and their royal plans….I doan see a future in min wage jobs daily cleaning of solar panels, coal gasification(natzi tech)that’s green fascism to me…as is not using our minds and capital to make it happen. might be too large idea for many. esp those oil companies rolling the uknighted states consumers. look a little deeper…follow the money.

I’d like to hear Fennec’s thots on inter-sex fish/and the dowsing of americans waters with hormones…or the Genetic modification of food seeds…. ( Kissengers toady inserted into their new Iraq Constitution they demand to xray all their seeds and only use GM seeds)-this the feed seeds from the center of ‘civilization” rivers of Tigris/Euphrates//(yr tax dollars at work) I can’t see from all the various studies what is causing the inter-sex action, Birth control hormones flushed daily into water? Where is the science? 90% of white fish(eco marker fish) below Boulder(UofCO) born w/female organs in testes, above Boulder, co- fish sex 50/50..whats going on here? and the Potomac river as well..what is happening as a biologist, Fennec? THIS seems to be past the social effects of gay rights, birth-control..”debates”.
