    Except it doesn’t work that way in real life. In North America, the Paleo-Indians hunted the mammoth to extinction, then did the same to the horses. Eventually, the Native Americans would have exterminated the buffalo, if the white men had not been there.

    Ah, but the white man (or rather “Tarzan”, the white ape) was there and thus the natives will be able to get it right. Sadly, Tarzan is fiction.

    It was the Europeans who nearly extinguished the buffalo, not the native Americans. There were millions of buffalo on the plains until the Europeans brought in hunters on trains.
